What is Auriculo Acupuncture?
Auriculo therapy is a modern, evidence-based form of acupuncture in which specific points on the ear are stimulated to activate the body's natural self-regulating and self-healing processes.
The method was developed in the 1950s by the French physician Dr. Paul Nogier, who discovered that the entire body is represented on the ear in the form of a reflex map.
When a physical or emotional imbalance occurs somewhere in the body, corresponding points on the ear become sensitive or reactive. By treating these points, the related area or function in the body can be influenced.
How it works
The ear functions as a reflex microsystem that is closely connected to the central nervous system.
When a point on the ear is stimulated, the brain receives a signal that can:
- Reduce pain perception
- Regulate stress responses
- Influence organ and hormone function
- Support emotional balance
Auriculotherapy is therefore not limited to pain treatment but can also support broader physiological and psychological processes.
Continuous Ear Stimulation
In my practice, I use continuous auricular stimulation to help your body recover more effectively. Instead of a one-time treatment, I place tiny semi-permanent needles, or small earmagnets on specific reflex points in your ear.
These stay in place for several days, providing a sustained therapeutic effect. Think of it as a 'battery' that continuously sends subtle signals to your nervous system to reduce pain, lower stress, or support your health goals. It is a safe, non-invasive way to extend the benefits of your treatment.
