What is Sound Therapy?
Sound Bowl Massage therapy is an ancient practice that combines sound therapy with physical relaxation to promote holistic well-being. Sound bowls, originating from the Eastern region, have been used for centuries in rituals and healing practices, and have there own frequencies that resonates with the frequencies of the human body, mind and soul.
What makes this treatment therapeutic?
The body is supported by a large connective tissue network called fascia. Because fascia is composed of approximately 70% water, vibrations can travel through it with ease. These vibrations can be absorbed deeply, creating a gentle internal resonance that works like a massage on a cellular level.
Muscle tightness or discomfort is often linked to tension stored in the fascia. But fascia is also connected to the nervous system and our emotions.
Since human cells are also largely made up of water, these vibrations reach all the way down to the cellular level.
Scientific research has shown that sound vibrations have measurable effects on cellular activity and the nervous system.
